Step 5-8: Wedding Towel Cake Tutorial

Step 5: Fold your Bath Towels into fourths.
Step 6: Start rolling the first bath towel up, not to tightly, overlap your second one and keep rolling, keeping
the folded side as even as you can. Put a rubber band around the center. This will be covered with ribbon
later.

Step 7: Turn your champagne bottle upside down and push the narrow end into the center of your bath-towel-roll.

Step 8: Fold your hand towels into thirds, and roll them around the bottle.

Fasten with another rubber band around the middle.

Step 9: Finally roll the washcloths so they will cover the rest of the bottle and past the top about 1 inch. Here you can see I propbably should have used 3 washcloths.

Step 9b: Finally roll the washcloths so they will cover the rest of the bottle and past the top about 1 inch.

See the ends of the towels. These will be covered with your flowers and leaves. You will use some saftey pins to hold the ends into the roll.

Step 10: Wedding Towel Cake Tutorial

Step 10: Cut the 1 1/2inch ribbon to cover the rubber bands, make sure to overlap about 1"-2".
Overlap
them at the same spot where you pinned the towels. Make sure you glue ribbon to ribbon, with no glue on
any of the towels.

Next pin towl ends down to cake as in picture tomake them lay flat.

Step 11 & 12: Wedding Cake Tutorial

Step 12: Every thing gets glued to ribbon ONLY. Start with your darkest leaves and flowers, glue the leaves
on and stick some of the flowers into the towel laps, or under the ribbon. Work your way up to the lightest of
the leaves or flowers. Cover the area where the towels meet.
Take your 1 1/2" ribbon and glue the end to the bottle with just a touch of glue.

I just tuck the ends under the bath towel.

Step 11: Take your 1 1/2" ribbon and glue the end to the bottle with just a touch of glue. Run this ribbon
down the side of your towel cake and glue where ribbon crosses ribbon to the base.

Step 13: Wedding Towel Cake Tutorial

Step 13: I used chennile stems to attach the little champagne glasses to fill out the arrangement.

I tried the ring out of the box, but it was too small, so I just made a large bow and glued it to the ribbon on the champagne bottle.

The box and all nested into the bow and glued on.
